AGU’s conference center is a full-service operation — the professional team will guide you through all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring every detail is covered to meet your needs and expectations.


The state-of-the-art AGU conference center offers pristine meeting room facilities, equipped with in-demand audio-visual technology and supported with a full range of catering options. All rooms are equipped with either monitors or screens, appropriate in size for the room capacity, connectable to your laptop for presentations.

The rooftop terrace offers a panoramic vista of the surrounding neighborhoods and city skyline. The setting is both comfortable and modern, featuring a view of the building’s solar PV array and green roof. Note: indoor space must be secured as weather backup for all rooftop terrace reservations.

Lobby level pre-function space is home to AGU’s rotating Earth and space science and technology exhibits. The beautiful modern meeting rooms on this level feature SageGlass technology, boasting ample natural lighting with the option to darken windows, manually, for optimal presentation views.

Lower level pre-function space offers a spectacular view of the building’s inner mechanical systems, tracking energy-efficient operational metrics in real time. Meeting rooms are intimate — prompting private, focused conversation.

Net Zero Energy

The design of the AGU’s net zero energy building was conceived in response to our commitment to innovation, education, research, and the climate by creating a living demonstration of Earth and space science, and its mission and enduring values, that will serve as a community resource and provide inspiration and learning for generations to come.

The conference center supports the building’s net zero energy and LEED Platinum certification goals from facility design to operating standards, including:

  • Recycling and composting
  • Energy-saver equipment
  • Repurposed materials in design
  • Compostable serviceware
  • Filtered water
  • Catering vendors rated with a Green Restaurant Association certification
  • Sustainably sourced coffee products and locally sourced produce

Auxiliary Services

Rental rates include the use of the conference room, with an appropriate meeting setup (as available per inventory) and all built-in amenities (WiFi, projection equipment, screen or monitor, house audio system).

Additional audio-visual support is available at an additional cost.

All catering services will be coordinated through the AGU conference center team who will only be using pre-authorized vendors that meet AGU standards.
