On 1 & 2 April, AGU will be performing numerous construction items to the plaza and sidewalk in front of 2000 Florida Ave, NW. so our neighbors and the public can continue to enjoy the space fully.
The work during this timeframe will mean the west sidewalk on 20th Street and south sidewalk on Florida Avenue will be partially closed in front of AGU. The partial closure will take up about half of the sidewalk and pedestrians will be able to continue to use the sidewalk without having to cross the street. In the event of bad weather, the timeline may need to be extended.
Please be aware of the following details of the work:
- Both Florida Avenue and 20th Street will be accessible to through-traffic.
- The west sidewalk on 20th Street and south sidewalk on Florida Avenue and plaza will be partially closed to pedestrian traffic in front of the AGU building.
- Pedestrians will be able to use the sidewalk and will not need to cross the street.
- Entrances to apartment buildings opposite the AGU building on 20th Street will not be impacted during this time.
As construction nears completion, we will work with the project team to keep the community informed of any future closures.
Our priority throughout construction is to be a good neighbor. If you have questions, please contact [email protected]
